Ever Seen a Lime Green BMW i8 Before?

We haven’t seen one, which is why this new lime green-colored i8 parked on the dealership floor of BMW Abu Dhabi immediately caught our eye.

If you visit BMW’s various online configurators, the only color options available at this time for their hybrid sports car are silver, white pearl, baby blue (named Protonic) and dark grey, with combinations of blue or grey accents.

We’re not aware of an Individual program for the i8 yet (if you know something we don’t, do tell), which offers buyers with a fat wallet almost unlimited choices in colors.

So, the big question is whether this lime green hue is a body paint or very likely, a foil wrap, albeit a very detailed one at that (look at the door surrounds). Thoughts?
