NanoFlowCell Quant E Cruises Through Zurich's Streets To Prove It's For Real

The Quant E is NanoFlowCell's previous concept, with the updated Quant F to be presented in Geneva next month, but to prove that it isn't just a flight of fantasy, they rolled out the study on Zurich's roads.

There's no video of the working concept's ride in the Swiss city yet, only pictures (the clip we've attached is from NanoFlowCell's older promotional material).

At the heart of both concepts is the Lichtenstein firm's flow cell battery system, which is akin to a traditional fuel cell solution, but instead of hydrogen and oxygen, it employs the use two ionic fluids, one with a negative and the other a positive charge to generate electricity.

In the silver-colored Quant E Sportlimousine, the batteries feed four electric motors capable of delivering a combined output of 912hp (925PS), while in the newer, red-colored Quant F, the improved motors can go up to 1,075hp (1,090PS), with the revised battery system allegedly offering a driving range that exceeds 600 kilometers (over 360 miles).
