If you’d like an open-air version of the Nissan 370Z NISMO, then say just how much you like the Nissan 370Z NISMO Roadster Concept.

Shown Thursday at the Chicago Auto Show, the 370Z NISMO Roadster is a one-off design study, according to Nissan, to gauge interest in a production version of this Z roadster with a bit more tuning.

Like the 370Z NISMO, the roadster gets an angrier face a little more reminiscent of the GT-R and other NISMO family products, along with fat 19-inch wheels. Under the hood there’s a NISMO strut tower brace, to go with the NISMO suspension and uprated brakes.

It sports a 350-horsepower version of the 3.7-liter V6 found in other 370Z roadsters. The concept is also very automatic, courtesy of the 7-speed automatic transmission that, according to Nissan, “the majority of 370Z Roadster buyers prefer…” Again, concept. But I don’t advise holding your breath for a production model with a manual.

The rest of the interior is better, with black Recaro leather seats with Ultrasuede inserts and a thick three-spoke steering wheel, complete with red accents everywhere.

Nissan practically does the math for us, saying the NISMO edition makes up 20 percent of 370Z sales right now. So this roadster version sounds like a no-brainer.

Just make it, guys.
