A Boston pickup truck driver, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, went flying off Interstate 93 North’s upper deck in the early morning hours of Sunday.
The incident was captured on three separate traffic / surveillance cameras, including one from the lower deck of the expressway where the 2006 Toyota Tacoma truck landed.
The 33-year old man, who has been identified as Vannak Sao, should consider himself lucky as he escaped with non-life threatening injures after he was extracted from the Toyota and taken to hospital.
State Police said it summoned Sao to court on “charges of operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle”.
Speaking with Fox25, Sao said that he was “grateful that nobody else was injured in the crash” and that “that he accepts the consequences of his actions”.
