For the 2015 model year, Dodge has listened to customers and has added to the Durango R/T’s list of optional extras the Radar Red Nappa Leather seats that were previously available only in the Challenger and Charger.

The red Nappa leather seats were first shown on a Durango concept vehicle in the Mopar display at the 2013 SEMA Show and now can be ordered as an optional extra for a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $1,195. The segment-exclusive red Nappa leather seats are offered in addition to the black Nappa leather seating already available with the optional Premium Nappa Leather Group.

Besides the optional red leather upholstery, the 2015 Dodge Durango R/T gets new standard 20-inch wheels with high-gloss Granite Crystal finish. Dodge says the new wheels give the R/T a more performance-oriented look compared with the other available trim levels.

The rest of the package remains unchanged, with the Durango R/T model featuring performance tweaks including the sport-tuned suspension, 20-inch performance tires, a 20mm lower ride height and the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine producing 360hp and 390lb-ft (528Nm) of torque.

Styling-wise, the 2015 Dodge Durango R/T features a sporty monochromatic exterior with black headlamp bezels, LED daytime running lamps and HID low-beam headlamps, while the interior includes R/T-embroidered leather seating with contrasting red or black stitching, as well as the Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen connected to a premium audio with nine speakers and subwoofer.

Prices start from $39,795 for the rear-wheel drive model and $42,295 for the all-wheel drive version (excluding destination).
