The 5th-gen Camaro is on the verge of breaking the 500,000 sales mark this month and to celebrate, Chevy released a video with the Z/28 in which a prototype of the next Camaro drops by towards the end.

It breaks cover through a wall of tire smoke from the 2015 Camaro Z/28 with Chevy asking viewers, “What Will Six Do?”.

This will be the final year for the Camaro 5, with the next generation of Chevy’s muscle car scheduled to enter production in the second half of 2015 as a 2016 model.

It will ride on GM’s newer and lighter Alpha platform, shared with the Cadillac CTS and ATS sedans, and is expected to continue with a similar mix of V6 and V8 engine choices to the current car, though, it’s widely believed that a new turbocharged four-cylinder unit will join the range to rival Ford’s EcoBoost Mustang 6.

A soft-top convertible version is also under development, and will be introduced within the next year.
