The legendary Lancia Stratos took the international rally stage by storm. However, the Lancia Stratos was gone just as it arrived: in a blaze of glory. Nearly 40 years since the Statos ceased production, Lancia still has not introduced a successor to the wild sports car.

However, if one were to seek a spiritual successor to the original Lancia Stratos, the new Alfa Romeo 4C checks all the boxes. From its diminutive proportions and its turbocharged power unit, the Alfa Romeo 4C matches the original Lancia Stratos spirit to a T.

A stunning new rendering by Bold Ride and Hansen Art takes the idea to the next level. The first thing you’ll notice of this Alfa Romeo 4C rendering is the iconic Alitalia livery that was on the World Rally Championship winning Lancia Stratos of 1976.

Next, we also find a restyled front bumper that removes the classic Alfa inverted triangle grille for a more wedged-shaped bumper, which is closer in the design to the Lancia Stratos. Other details include a larger side intake opening, louvers on the rear window, a rear diffuser, a small gurney flap on the rear deck, and a set of gold wheels. Also note the subtle “Lancia” badging as well as a license plate that reads “Stratos” in an identical font as the classic emblem design.
