We already knew that the new Koenigsegg Regera had to impress but if the numbers are true, we are entering a whole new level of mind-blowing performance here.

According to the Lovecars blog and their Instagram, the new Swedish monster will produce 1,500hp combined and will get to 400km/h (that’s 248mph!) in under 20 seconds. To get that into perspective a Ferrari LaFerrari scores a shocking 15sec for the 0-300km/h (0-187mph), and the Regera makes it look like a very fast Golf, if the numbers are to believed.

Koenigsegg says that they don’t like traditional hybrids and according to the leak, they use something called Koenigsegg Direct Drive which doesn’t make it a hybrid. The 9kWh battery pack is liquid cooled in order to provide enough juice to 700 electric horses.

Inside the Regera features Apple CarPlay, 3G connection, WiFi and a camera that can record you, probably while you feast on LaFerraris and P1s and 918s.

Official details are landing tomorrow, but until then we’ll keep you updated if we find out any more info on this staggering machine.
