We wonder what the exact purpose of this exercise was – why would anybody even conceive a Mercedes CLA pickup?
It’s probably going to be one of those articles that gets a lot of people saying “what was he thinking” and a couple saying “heck, I’d buy one” only to be bashed by the first group.
If it already has you nodding in disapproval, then you should cut that line of thought and just look at this as what Australians would want the CLA to be… and maybe a few Americans too, and some people from Brazil as well; South Africa?
It would obviously be rubbish at actually carrying stuff and even less so at going off-road. In fact, a much better candidate for this conversion would be the GLA crossover.
