nanoFlowcell AG unveiled the world’s first QUANT low-voltage vehicle, with a estimated (and downright amazing) range of over 1,000 kilometers, as well as a rated voltage of only 48 volts. We’re shocked!

The QUANTiNO also generates an output of four times 25 kW/136 PS, with a combination of nanoFlowcell, buffer system and electric motors. That will get you to a top speed of 200km/h, which is decent, as well as give you a range of over 1,000 km, which is a little more than decent. It’s amazing!

This small 2+2 seater has a total length of 3.91 meters and looks, we think, tremendous. Somebody really let their imagination fly when they were designing this car, and we’re surprised nanoFlowcell didn’t talk more about the looks – especially with those 22″ wheels inherited from its big brothers the QUANT E and QUANT F.

If you strip the QUANTiNO down, you’ll also find two 175 liter tanks, despite its total capacity of 350 liters of ionic liquids (one carrying a positive charge, the other a negative charge). Refueling is quite basic, except for the fact that both tanks are filled with different liquids simultaneously.

“This year’s Geneva Motor Show is going to be QUANTastic,” stated Professor Jens Ellermann, President of the Board of Directors of nanoFlowcell AG. “In our view the future of electromobility is clearly the flow cell. Anyone dealing with the future of electromobility and sustainable drive technologies professionally will no longer be able to ignore the topic of the flow cell.”

nanoFlowcell AG will also be expanding its activities based on the flow cell, in order to cover a more diverse range, not just in the automotive sector. But still that’s the only sector we’re discussing right now, we’re excited about the fact that we’ll be seeing a first prototype of the QUANTiNO take to the road as early as this year. The people behind it are hoping for a rapid official stamp of approval, while preparing for mass production.

So are we!
