Jaguar didn’t really care too much about the XJ220 back in the early 1990s when it was being developed. They promised a V12 with all-wheel drive, but only delivered a rear-driven car with a V6.

Even so, over the years Jaguar has come around in its appreciation of the XJ220 and has entrusted all servicing to a specialized garage.

The video posted below via Drive tells the tale of the owner of the garage and his colleague/racing driver and why their work is so special.

Aside from a general presentation of how things work there, the video also focuses a bit on the cars they have stored. For instance, there’s a fully-upgraded XJ220 in there that’s been tuned to Le Mans GT class spec yet has retained the factory interior and is still road legal.

Its engine has been fettled with to produce 800 hp and it’s probably up there with the best and fastest of modern super and borderline-hypercars.
