Before the filming of Gymkhana 7, Ken Block had only one opportunity to test the Hoonicorn, the 845hp AWD beast loosely based on the 1965 Ford Mustang.

Interestingly, the test took place before the vehicle was actually completed, on July 24, 2014, which is why the Hoonicorn was thrash tested without fenders, doors or windows. The crew needed to see if the entirely custom all-wheel drive running gear could withstand the punishment of tire slaying.

As you will see in the video, the Hoonicorn hold up very well to Ken Block’s brutal powerslides that apparently generated more clouds (of smoke) than Mother Nature that day. Oh, and did we mention how cool the stripped out Hoonicorn looks?
