The three-door hatchback body style is unfortunately an endangered species nowadays, being abandoned even by high performance models like the Ford Focus RS and Honda Civic Type R.

Both these models were only offered with a three-door body style in their previous generations, but now they can only be had with five doors. Photoshop manipulator X-Tomi thought about fixing this, so he set out to draw a three-door Honda Civic Type R.

I, for one, would have preferred Honda to stick with the three-door layout for the new Civic Type R, but since the regular Civic no longer offers a three-door version, the performance model was based on the five-door body style. For me (and I’m sure for many other enthusiasts) this is a pity, because a three-door format would have made the Civic Type R look sportier.
