Even if James May hadn’t ruled out the possibility of continuing on Top Gear without Clarkson earlier this week, we all knew that wasn’t going to happen for a million reasons.

While the Top Gear name belongs to BBC and will most certainly exist in one form or the other, as it did before the current trio of presenters made it a global phenomenon, the question in everyone’s mind is whether Clarkson, May and Hammond will remain together and give us another show.

As surely as the sun will rise, rivaling media companies will jump in (if they haven’t done so already…) giving them the opportunity to replicate their success with Top Gear on another car show  – be that online (i.e. a YouTube venture) or on television / cable.

Whether they’ll accept, is a different story, but if they do, I’m sure they can figure out a format that fits their persona without stepping on the toes of Top Gear.

What we’d like to hear from you is what name would you give to a new petrol-head show starring Clarkson, May and Hammond? Type away your answers in the comments.
