The recently unveiled all-new Ford Galaxy MPV will be offered with a wide range of engines, spearheaded by a 240PS (237hp) 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbocharged petrol unit.

There will also be a 210PS (207hp) 2.0-liter TDCi bi-turbo diesel on offer, which means that fans of quick seven-seat MPVs will have where to choose from. However, these powerful engines will not turn the Galaxy into a performance MPV, because that’s not the point of this vehicle.

However, a digital rendering from Photoshop manipulator X-Tomi proves that a sporty Ford Galaxy ST would look good. Sporting large wheels shod with wide tires, larger brakes with red-painted calipers, more aggressive bumpers and a lower ride height, a Ford Galaxy ST would be an intriguing sight on European roads.

Obviously, that won’t happen, because if Ford wanted to build a performance MPV it would likely choose the S-MAX over the Galaxy.
