Aston Martin is currently negotiating the build of a new US factory for producing the DBX crossover, according to a report from the Financial Times.

The report says that the British company has spoken with numerous states about the possibility of a new factory with Aston Martin looking at UK sites as well, such as the ex-Jaguar factory at Browns Lane in Coventry.

Aston Martin’s future plans include the increase of the annual sales’ volume but the company needs more capacity to achieve its goals than the historic Gaydon factory can provide.

The all-wheel drive and all-electric Aston Martin DBX Concept was unveiled at this year’s Geneva show, previewing the company’s first crossover model, which is expected to help the British firm in meeting its future targets. Aston desires to launch its first crossover in three to four years, with Daimler possibly assisting them with the development.
