It’s been a while since we saw the all-new Audi TT Roadster in Paris and we still feel that this is a car worth considering if you’re in the market for a small trendy coupe.

Of course, there are plenty of those to go around. One could point in the direction of the VW Scirocco, but as good looking and dynamic as it may be, it’s still not a premium product.

The thing about being objective is that we have to think about more than just one or two different perspectives. Some people choose badge over anything else even though sometimes it’s hard to justify. Only in this case, it’s not.

The Audi TT is a rather excellent car, from all points of view. Its engines are punchy and economical, its looks are inspiring (at least from certain angles), the optional LED Matrix headlights are real treat while its Virtual Cockpit is starting to look like a “must-have”.

Naturally, we can’t forget the soft-top which opens and closes in 10 seconds and at speeds of up to 50 km/h – which is impressive.

The R8-inspired front is also a great touch, and with an ability to get from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds (in TTS form), it’s only 0.3 seconds off the pace of the Coupe version.
