So much has changed since 2005, the year the world first saw the mighty Veyron.

The world was still recovering from reading the specs of the then fresh Ferrari Enzo; in a time when 650hp represented Ferrari’s finest, Bugatti unleashed the Veyron, a 1001hp supercar that rewrote the rules of what’s possible, from acceleration figures to top speed to pretty much everything else, up to the point where the term supercar was no longer sufficient to describe it.

The Bugatti Veyron truly is the first hypercar and XCAR pays tribute to this magnificent creation in their latest episode. It’s the car that forced other manufacturers into pushing the boundaries and giving us cars like the Koenigsegg Regera, the LaFerrari and the McLaren P1.

10 years after, the Bugatti Veyron finishes its production but remains still one of the fastest, most technologically advanced vehicles we have ever seen and for that it should never be forgotten.
