The new Maxima is a very eye-catingh new sedan, and one that tries a lot to stand out through its styling. Nissan has succeeded in making us take a good long look at it, but do we like what we see?
The general reception seemed to be a positive one and we can see why – it looks like a flamboyant modern sedan should, even if the word beautiful is not the first to come to mind.
Inside, Nissan has clearly tried to give it a premium feel, and to a certain degree it’s succeeded. You do need the beige leather for the full luxury effect; we like how it looks against the wood trim, which in turn features a nice design wraparound design.
The New York Auto Show where it debuted allowed journalists to get up close to it and do a kind of ad-hoc static preview before they get their hands on actual examples they can drive. Check out a selection of those below.
