Despite its four-wheel drive system, the Lamborghini Huracan wasn’t designed to run on snow and few owners will ever venture out on slippery roads.

But the Huracan definitely holds a significant advantage over rear-wheel drive rivals when it comes to driving on snow and ice.

Auto Express mag’s Mat Watson had the chance of driving the 602hp (610PS) Lamborghini Huracan on an improvised snow course and witnessed first-hand that it can be controlled even at high speeds (for snow, that is).

The car gave him enough confidence to challenge a snowmobile for a drag race. It was a pretty close duel, but one essential detail was not made clear – whether the Huracan was fitted with studded tires or not. Judging from how tight the race was, I’d say the Lambo wasn’t riding on normal winter tires.
