After teasing us with the CS concept and then calling it GTS, we now learn that MG’s production compact crossover will actually bear the name “GS.”

Size-wise, at 4,500long, 1,855mm wide and 1,675mm tall, it’s roughly the same as a Honda CR-V, which means it’s slightly larger than a Nissan Qashqai. Set to go on sale in China, the GS will draw its power from a 2.0-liter turbo with 217 hp and get a choice of either manual or automatic six-speed gearboxes.

The GS carries the family face we’ve slowly been growing accustomed to on the MG6 and more recently the smaller MG3 supermini.

Alongside the production-ready GS, MG also showed off the iGS (concept?), a vehicle we know very little about. In fact, the only thing we know is that the ‘i’ stands for “internet,” so it could be a connectivity/infotainment showcase of sorts.
