Opel Adam Rocks S Debuts at the AutoRAI Show in Amsterdam

What do you get when you cross the Opel Adam S with the Opel Adam Rocks? The Opel Adam Rocks S, of course. The latest version of Opel’s city car has just debuted at the AutoRAI show in Amsterdam as the most powerful Adam Rocks.

The sporty mini-crossover is powered by the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine from the Adam S. Mated to a short-ratio six-speed gearbox, the engine produces 150PS (148hp) and 220Nm (162lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) sprint of 8.5 seconds.

Furthermore, the Opel Adam Rocks S needs 7.9 seconds to accelerate from 80 to 120 km/h in fifth gear, while top speed is 210 km/h (130 mph). Compared to the standard Adam Rocks, the S version uses a 15mm lower sports chassis and a high-performance braking system including ESP that can be deactivated. Combined fuel consumption is 5.9 l/100 km, corresponding to CO2 emissions of 139 g/km.
