The all-new Audi R8 has been met with mixed reactions across the web, including here. Some say it’s too similar to the previous model, while others say it doesn’t even look as good. Until now.

Even the first 2017 R8 Spyder rendering we saw raised some eyebrows where some people loved it, others were still caught up in the fact that the Coupe wasn’t all that it should have been.

However, this particular V10 Plus version, expertly manipulated by Theophilus Chin, is one Spyder we wouldn’t mind calling ‘awesome’.

The looks of the R8 V10 Plus are, of course, great, especially thanks to that massive wing and amazing-looking rims. The color used is also a good choice, as light blue and some gray/black make for excellent contrasts.

The all-new Audi R8 V10 Plus is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2 liter V10 engine, putting down 610 HP using all four of its wheels. That means that it can launch from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.

Whether or not the convertible version will maintain those exact figures, remains to be seen. The previous generation R8 Spyder was about 0.2 seconds slower to 100 km/h, which might still be the case.
