Now, this highly modified 135i coupe may not be the fastest tuned BMW you can get, but by slotting in an M3 E92’s V8, its creators have achieved something rather special without overdoing the power.

This particular car, featured on Drive, not only has the 4-liter V8 out of an E90 M3, but it also features that car’s front and rear subframes, and any other beefed up parts it needed; the builders actually bought a crashed M3 and used as much of it as possible on the project car.

The result is, as per Matt Farah’s experience, amazing; he says it’s the best (not fastest) BMW driving experience you could have right now, and considering all of the factors, he’s pretty much right. It’s got the noise, it’s got the grip and the 1M looks, so it’s a rather complete package.
