The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is the hottest topic of discussion at the moment – and rightfully so. It’s doomed to follow in the footsteps (or should we say tyre marks) of its predecessor, which has managed to outsell the previous-generation Ford Mustang for many years in a row.

We’ve seen Photoshop-ers take a shot at rendering the convertible version of the 2016 Camaro, and now it’s time to get an idea of what the high-performance Z/28 model will look like.

X-Tomi is one of the first to give it a try and in my view there’s absolutely nothing wrong with his rendering. The added “muscle” makes the new Camaro look more aggressive and manly, which is exactly what fans expect from a Z/28.

The new Camaro Z/28 will likely retain the powertrain of the previous generation model, but given the new platform cuts up to 300 lbs (136 kg) off the Camaro’s weight, the improvement in performance should be significant.
