A trio of armed criminals made the mistake of trying to rob the wrong driver at his home in southeastern Brazil and as a result, one of them reportedly died.
A home security camera captured the incident when the driver, who happened to be a police officer, pulled inside his garage and parked his car.
Seconds later and just before the door closed, three men entered the garage with one of them, Eliseu Santos Paulo, approaching the driver’s side of the car with a gun in his hand. Upon seeing that Paulo was armed when he opened his door, the officer surprised the man by firing several shots at him.
The three thieves made a run for it, but after a neighbor called the police, they caught up with Eliseu Santos Paulo who was transferred to the hospital, though, he died a short time later due to his wounds. The other two suspects remain at large, according to a report from Otempo.
