The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is essentially a track car completely usable on public roads, as Chris Harris found out while driving it around Stuttgart.

Especially on Germany’s fine roads, one can live with the car’s very hard suspension. It has all the features every 911 has, but it’s on the track that the driver can come close to fully exploit its potential.

While Harris would have liked a manual transmission for the GT3 RS, he found the seven-speed PDK shifts gears even faster than in the GT3, which is quite a performance.

Driving the 911 GT3 RS on Porsche test track proved to be an amazing experience and Harris was stunned by the level of grip and balance the car has. In the end, he says the RS delivers at least 10 percent more performance than the standard GT3 on the track.
