Everyone is talking about Skoda’s second SUV, expected to debut sometime in 2016. But what some people don’t realize is that the Czech carmaker also has to replace its existing SUV, the Yeti, which has been around since 2009.

Photoshop expert and car enthusiast Theophilus Chin was curious to see what the second-generation Yeti would look like based on Skoda’s latest design language.

He based his renderings on Seat’s 20V20 concept SUV, which is an appropriate thing to do given that the production SUV from Seat will share underpinnings with the next Yeti.

The renderings are obviously great but, as the author himself notes, his vision of the next Skoda Yeti doesn’t appear to have an equally strong identity as the current model, which doesn’t lack originality. Especially if Seat’s version will be just a slightly rebadged Yeti (or the other way round). What is your take on this?
