Whenever you see a road car with center locking wheels, you usually expect it to be a serious bit of kit, and in that respect the latest Porsche 911 GTS certainly delivers. But how exactly do its extras improve its performance?

We’ve seen quite a few reviews concentrating on the car, and their general conclusion was that this is a great all-round car, more than just a stepping stone from basic models to the GTs.

They say it’s definitely a model you would consider in isolation, with standard features like the Sport Chrona package, PASM chassis, sports exhaust and unique 20-inch wheels borrowed from the Turbo S. It looks different too, with a more gaping mouth up front, smoked headlights and the inevitable GTS logos.
