You don’t get into a (US spec) 1987 BMW M6 expecting it to feel brand new, but according to EverydayDriver, it really does feel more like a classic car than anything else.

They say it’s still an experience giving you a sense of occasion, but the E24 not at all sharp to drive. The steering on this particular privately owned example is reportedly vague, complete with play, and it’s a similar story with the gear lever operation.

So, unless you want to invest in new and improved components, you won’t really be taking this one to the track… In fact, the 6-Series was always more of a cruiser type of vehicle, kind of like the latest iteration.

It could undoubtedly be brought up to date, but we perfectly understand the attraction of leaving it stock too.
