While we mostly deal in all things automotive here, we do look around for interesting stuff in adjacent spheres, like motorcycles. We also like good racing games, so here we’re going to take a quick look at a new title called “Ride.”

As its name suggests, it focuses exclusively on bikes, both race and street machines, and it offers players the choice to take those bikes to the track or try them out on street courses, as well. It looks good, it has a solid physics engine and those more in the know say it is a spiritual successor to 2006’s Tourist Trophy, a good game developed by Poliphony Digital, the studio behind the Gran Turismo series.

Some say Ride is heavily influenced by that title, and it’s drawing more attention than an equivalent car game simply because good moto sims are hard to come by. This one could be it, although we can’t say for sure how it will be received in the end, because it’s still in development (receiving the final touches), even though on Steam it says it was launched on March 27. It is available for full download now, though.
