We haven’t had the chance to see the Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 Concept in an outdoor setting so far. Since few places in the world are as scenic as the shores of Lake Como in Italy, the timing couldn’t have been better.

Lamborghini brought the Asterion at last weekend’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa D’Este, marking the first time the brand has participated at the event. And even though the Asterion lost to the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 in the Concept Cars & Prototypes category, it definitely was one of the stars of the event.

A video taken on the premises of Villa D’Este captures the moment the Asterion’s 5.2-liter V10 engine is started, with the sound being as spectacular as one would expect. As a reminder, the study features a high performance hybrid system which combines the longitudinally-placed, naturally aspirated V10 engine with three electric motors, for a maximum power output of 910PS (897hp).

The Asterion can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). Additionally, it can drive in pure electric mode for 50 km (31 miles) and emits on average 98 g/km of CO2.
