With its new North American headquarters, Porsche proves it doesn’t just make great cars, it also has owns some of the best-looking buildings in the automotive world.

Porsche Cars North America’s new $100 million Porsche Experience Center (PEC) and headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia has officially opened on a 27-acre lot located at the Northeast corner of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The complex is Porsche’s largest investment ever outside Germany, which speaks volumes about the importance of North America in general and the US market in particular for the sports car manufacturer.

The facility features a driver development track, classic car gallery, restoration center, human performance center, driving simulator lab and a fine dining restaurant. There’s also a state-of-the-art business center with 13,000 square feet (1,208 square meters) of conference and event space.

The Porsche Experience Center has been specifically designed as a destination for the public, including automotive enthusiasts and Porsche customers, with the company expecting about 30,000 guests each year. Visitors can perfect their driving skills, reserve meeting space in the fully-equipped business center, view classic Porsche automobiles or dine at Restaurant 356 – which is named after the first production Porsche.

But the most exciting part of the Porsche Experience Center is the 1.6-mile (2.57-km) Driver Development Track, which runs through the courtyard of the facility and includes six instructor-led driving modules. It consists of a Handling Circuit, Off-Road Course, Dynamics Area, Low Friction Handling Circuit, Low Friction Circle and the only Kick Plate in North America.
