The Toyota GT86 just received some minor updates and a lower price tag for MY2016.

Toyota went on and updated the line-up of its small, RWD sports coupe, adding new wheels and colours available. The rest of the package remains as it is, meaning the GT86 continues to use the same flat-four 197hp 2.0-litre petrol engine married to a six-speed manual.

The range-topper Aero model now comes with 18-inch gloss black wheels and customers can have it painted in a “hot GT86 orange” paint finish. These larger alloys are also available as an option on the core GT86 model.

Speaking of which, the entry-level Primo version has now become even cheaper to buy thanks to its smaller 16-inch alloys which drop the price by £300. Combined with the current on-going offer which adds an additional £505 saving, the GT86 now starts with an on-the-road price of £22,195. Pricing for the rest of the range remains unchanged.

Toyota also promises that it will unveil a new special edition model to join the range this summer with details to be announced soon.
