A group of very rare and unusual precious metal was spotted recently when no less than three Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss were seen traveling next to another similarly scarce SLR Roadster 722 S.

Essentially, a no-roof version of the SLR, the Stirling Moss edition was built to pay tribute in the historic victory of the 1955 Mille Miglia, when Stirling Moss won the event at the incredible average speed of almost 100mph.

With a supercharged 5.5-litre V8 making 641hp, the SLR Stirling Moss needed 3.5 seconds to reach 62 mph from a standstill while the top speed is rated at 220mph.

With 75 of them ever built, seeing three cars together is obviously a very rare sight and the fact that there was also a one-of-150 SLR Roadster 722S with them should raise some eyebrows.

The total original value of this group is estimated to just over $3 million dollars. If we had to guess what their value is now, we’d say it would be a lot more…
