With renderings of the Astra K Sedan and OPC versions already in the bag, it’s time to go for yet another ride in the virtual realm and meet both the GTC and the Sports Tourer.

If you thought that the Sedan version was a good looking car, then you’ll probably enjoy the Sports Tourer as well, unless you’re not into station wagons in general.

Keep in mind that generally speaking, C-Segment hatchbacks never look as good as possible when turned into station wagons because it’s hard for the designers to compensate for the massive increase in boot space in a car that was originally meant to be as compact as possible.

Having said that, it’s quite possible that we’ll see a final product looking just like this rendering. We’re not sure about the C-pillar though, especially since it’s hard to complain about rear visibility in the current Astra Sports Tourer.

Which means that Opel will probably not want to screw up this particular aspect as far as the new model is concerned.

By the way, it’s pretty cool how this rendering from over 2 months ago comes so close to one that already had the new model as a benchmark.

As for the GTC, well, even though we always appreciate these types of creative efforts, odds are it will end up looking a bit more muscular with more of a sloping roof line. And remember that Opel sort of came up with the notion of doing something completely different with the rear design between their 5-door hatch and their GTC, back when the Astra H came out.

Besides, you can’t have the all-new GTC looking less sporty than the old one, right?
