Whether or not you’re making a movie, writing a comic book story or talking about cars in general, it’s never a good idea to make Godzilla angry.
Seriously though, Nissan has no problem with McLaren breaking the Internet lately with their amazing P1 and their surprisingly fast 650S – even if the 650S is looking pretty unstoppable at the moment.
You definitely need some serious hypercar muscle under the hood in order to kick its behind in a straight line.
Or.. you simply need a very capable tuned car such as the Nissan GT-R – a car that would have absolutely destroyed the Internet if people in general would have been so into viral videos back then.
The 650S is fresh off defeating both the Lamborghini Huracan as well as the 700 HP Aventador, which is why it makes for such a great target for this thing, the Alpha 9 GT-R from AMS Performance.
The Alpha 9 is good for 950 HP (1,050 HP on race fuel), which makes it considerably faster than the stock 650S – and sure, it’s not a fair fight but it’s an interesting one nevertheless.
As for the result, well, the GT-R cannons past the speed trap doing 183.07 mph (294.62 km/h) whereas the McLaren 650S could only manage a 164.71 mph (265.07 km/h) – which is still extremely impressive.
