Are you surprised that the 488 GTB is getting rave reviews left and right and that its turbocharged engine is proving to be very good rather than a nuisance?

The fact that Ferrari used turbochargers on the F40 and that became an icon should have been a dead giveaway for the 458 replacement.

In the review posted below courtesy of EVO, the car is driven around the typical Maranello country side, where it feels like it’s in its element. You can throw it around and thanks to a clever new system called SSC-2, you can maintain bigger slides more easily.

One of the biggest concern some mentioned before this car came out was how it was going to sound. Well, it’s perfectly acceptable, even if it’s still a bit more muted compared to its naturally aspirated predecessors.

Also, it’s a really complicated car with many systems working in tandem to give you the now familiar experience. It’s not like in the older days of the F430 when you could opt for a manual gearbox…
