“We thought we’d have a go at reviewing cars on the television…” said Richard Hammond, in his typical tonque-in-cheek sort of way.

And that’s what Top Gear is all about! Sorry, that’s what Clarkson, Hammond and May are all about. They use typical British humor, a lot of sarcasm and plenty of car knowledge to draw us into their world.

Speaking of drawing us in, we can’t wait to see this entire segment. Teasing us with a Porsche 911 Turbo vs. Mercedes-AMG GT S vs. C7 Corvette Z06 drag race can definitely get us in the mood for their unique type of car reviews.

The video comes courtesy of the Clarkson, Hammond & May Live Australia YouTube channel and it shows Jeremy behind the wheel of a 911 Turbo, edging ahead of Hammond in the Z06 Vette and May in the AMG GT S.

As you know, we don’t usually get to see Jeremy driving a 911 – especially since he calls them VW Beetles. But hey, it’s hard to argue with speed.

Also, since they’re currently not working with the BBC, there can afford to be a little more explicit in expressing themselves, which is probably why there are so many censored words in the video.

As for the race itself, who do you guys think won it? Our money is on the 911 Turbo.
