We love hypercars, which is why we’re hoping to see their numbers grow in the near future where a potential sub-Agera Koenigsegg model would make all the sense in the world.

Here you have the so called Koenigsegg Legera. Don’t get too excited, it’s not real. What it is though is a design study envisioned by Jennarong Muengtaweepongsa of VanaticalDesign – the same 15-year old kid that designed that gorgeous Aston Martin DB11 concept two months ago.

As for the ‘Legera’, its name comes from the Swedish word for “Alloy”, though it can also mean “Light” in Italian if you add an extra ‘G’. The name is great. It fits right in with both the Agera and the brand new Regera, so maybe Koenigsegg better start taking notes.

According to the designer, the Legera would be powered by a V8 engine producing around 700 to 800 HP, putting it smack down in the middle of Lamborghini Aventador and/or Pagani Huayra territory.

In terms of looks, we just have to say that this is one of the most beautiful renderings we’ve ever seen. It genuinely looks like it’s ready to drive off the assembly line. In terms of size, it’s obviously smaller than the Regera and the Agera, but it does share plenty of design elements with the two, including the removable Targa top.

Jennarong did draw some inspiration from other cars as well, such as the Jaguar C-X75, Porsche 918 Spyder.

Furthermore, details like the carbon fiber air intake on the hood with the Koenigsegg badge in front, also stand out a lot. The doors would actually come with a fingerprint sensor and would open upwards using another sensor to monitor the angle of the front wheels while adjusting the hinges in order not to make contact. Awesome, right?

The only thing this car might need would be a bump in “fictional” power. But seriously now, those guys over at Koenigsegg seriously need to take a very close look at this design because if this car ever sees the light of day, it’s going to be legendary.

Thanks to Jennarong Muengtaweepongsa for the pics!
