Hyundai’s brand new Tucson enters UK market this September, with all the details and pricing officially announced.

The new crossover, which is set to rival cars like the Nissan Qashqai and Mazda CX-5 will be offered in five trims, S-SE-SE Nav, Premium and Premium SE, with prices starting at £18,695 for the 2WD 1.6-litre petrol S model and up to £32,345 for the 4WD 2.0-litre diesel Premium SE model.

The engine range is comprised by two petrol units, a 132PS (130hp) 1.6-litre GDi and a turbocharged 177PS (172hp) 1.6-litre T-GDi, and three diesel ones, starting with a 116PS (114hp) 1.7-litre CRDi and a 2.0-litre CRDi offered in 136PS (132hp) and 185PS (181hp) guises.

Hyundai is offering the Tucson with a choice of manual, auto or a double-clutch transmission. The latter is offered only with the 177PS (172hp) 1.6 T-GDi petrol engine which in turn comes only in 4WD.

And if you are looking for the cleanest model of the range, this would be the FWD Tucson with the 116PS 1.7-litre CRDi diesel which emits 119g/km of CO2 emissions.
