Let’s face it, we all kind of think about rock music whenever we imagine ourselves powersliding an AMG Mercedes-Benz on a race track.

And even if we don’t, it’s quite fitting, don’t you think?

Mercedes teamed up with American rock band Linkin Park and came up with this fun little spot for the C63, which is actually very entertaining.

The song choice is interesting too, though at the same time a little obvious. It’s called “New Divide” and for those of you who don’t know, the single was recorded specifically for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

That wasn’t the first time Linkin Park contributed to a Transformers movie, since their single “What I’ve Done” was used during the final scene of the first Transformers film – the one where Optimus looks up at the sky and narrates about the remaining Autobots scattered across the Universe, inviting them to come to earth.

Yeah, thanks for inviting more aliens to Earth, Prime!

Anyway, the two songs are somewhat similar in tone and they both work well with action packed sequences. Of course, it doesn’t get more action-packed than having a bunch of Mercedes-AMG C63s fooling around on the track.

The top of the line C63 S is the most appealing version of the C-Class with its 510 PS (503 HP) engine, capable of catapulting you towards 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4 seconds.

And yes, with a car like this, you’ll be just as likely to go sideways as you would in a straight line.
