When we said, “These are (probably) the last scoop shots you’ll see of the regular Mercedes-Benz GLC” on Monday, we should have clarified that we mean from our spy shooters…

That’s becausse, today, Mercedes-Benz itself dropped a teaser video showing partly camouflaged prototypes and partly cropped shots of the production SUV -including of the interior- that will replace the GLK in the firm’s range this year.

The GLC’s official presentation will be held tomorrow, June 17, in Germany, with its global premiere to likely take place at the Frankfurt motor show in mid-September.

Being related to the current W205 chassis C-Class, don’t expect any mechanical surprises under the hood where we’ll find a similar assortment of 4-cylinder and V6 diesel and petrol engines paired to either seven-speed or nine-speed automatic transmissions and either rear- or all-wheel drive – always depending on the market. A V8-powered AMG model is also rumored.
