The first official pictures of GM’s all-new sixth-generation Camaro Convertible made an unexpected (and short-lived) appearance on Chevy’s official website.

They were quickly removed, but not before the folks over at the Camaro6 forums downloaded the low-quality images to give us a first taste of the production car ahead of this Wednesday’s (June 24, 2015) official reveal that was announced through a teaser video on Friday.

The new drop top Camaro adds an electrically operated cloth roof, and at least in SS guise with the large wheels and more aggressive aero package, it looks the part.

From what we understand, the Convertible will offer the same powertrains as the new Camaro Coupe at launch, including a 2.0-liter turbo four with 275hp, a 3.6-liter V6 rated for 335hp and a 6.2-liter V8 delivering 455hp.

Thanks to Declan for the tip!
