A brand new full-length trailer just dropped for the Mission Impossible Rogue Nation movie and lucky for us, it features even more action than the first one.
From what we can tell, Ethan Hunt won’t just be doing crazy things behind the wheel of a BMW M3 or while riding a motorcycle – in fact, it seems like they’ve also come up with some sort of pressurized water security system that he needs to get by without any metal (oxygen tanks).
Sounds like fun!
And even though we can’t wait to see the whole BMW M3 scene, it also looks like we’ll be in for a hell of a high speed highway ride with those motorcycles.
However, all this action does kind of make you think about what ever happened to that vibe we had during the first Mission Impossible movie? It’s all but gone. The ‘thriller’ part has been replaced by ‘guns blazing action’.
It all started with the 2nd installment of the franchise (which was still very good) – the one directed by John Woo, and that’s the way it’s been ever since. So again, what ever happened to the subtle “Your mission, should you choose to except it..” part? Now everything is the exact opposite of..subtle.
Oh well, as long as we’re getting awesome stunts and fast paced chase scenes, we’re not going to complain too much.
