Unlike the name of his car, a Smart driver proved to be a nitwit, and a dangerous one at that, after causing two hit-and-run crashes in Brooklyn, New York.

The incident was recorded last Wednesday afternoon, June 3, on 86th street in Gravesend with the uploader describing the scene thusly:

“It was the middle of the day and I heard a crash! I look over and a small car is crushed against the back of a delivery truck,” wrote the eyewitness on LiveLeak. “The passenger of the delivery truck jokingly grabbed his neck while looking at me, feigning injury. The delivery truck men approach the small car and confront the driver.”

“The situation seems to be handled so I keep walking until I hear wowed revving coming from the tiny car,” the video’s author continued. “As I looked back I could tell a struggle was taking place. Loud revving was coming from the small car as one of the men was grabbing the steering wheel forcing the small car to the corner where the video starts. The men were yelling back-and-forth, it seems the small car was trying to make a getaway. This is the point of the video starts.”

Apparently, the driver of the Smart managed to drive away. “I shared the video with the men involved. Later in the day, they told me that the driver hasn’t been caught yet!” said the eyewitness.
