Suzuki’s good ol’ Jimny has entered its 17th year of production and is expected to soldier on for a couple of years until a replacement arrives.

Fresh from its light makeover introduced late last year, the little off-roader is now available as a limited edition model called Jimny Street. Available in Italy in a limited run of 100 units, the Suzuki Jimny Street brings colorful exterior details as well as more standard equipment.

The model features a Pearl White and Grey dual-color livery, orange accents on the hood scoop, fog light surrounds, mirror caps and roof bars, as well as an exclusive cover for the spare wheel featuring Jimny Street graphics and the Japanese “Kyo” kanji, which designates Japan’s former imperial capital Kyoto.

Other styling details include dark grey alloy wheels and orange accents in the cabin. In terms of equipment, the Suzuki Jimny Street gets additional standard features such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring sensors, eco-leather seats and an infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display, satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.

The engine remains the same 85PS (84hp) 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol unit mated to a five-speed manual gearbox with low range and four-wheel drive. The Suzuki Jimny Street goes on sale in July in Italy with a starting price of €19,900 (approximately $22,425).
