Renault’s Celebration concept car unveiled at Le Mans on Saturday is most likely the last study before the production sports car launches next year.

This probably explains why the car doesn’t feature lines as bold as those seen on the A110-50 study introduced in 2012. The Alpine Celebration has clear retro influences and I for one believe this is the right approach for reviving a brand that produced its last car in 1995.

It’s not hard to see the production model just by looking at the Celebration study: just remove the stickers on the headlights and body, get rid of the bi-color paint scheme and the car is there.

This is exactly what Photoshop manipulator Remco Meulendijk did, and the result looks pretty realistic. Other modifications include the addition of conventional alloy wheels (the study’s wheels have one-piece hubs), as well as production-ready exterior mirrors and door handles. What do you think?
