Here’s one Mercedes-AMG GT S that isn’t looking to lose any drag races any time soon. At least not to any of its “stock” rivals.

This 2016 AMG GT S ran a 1/4 in 10.94 seconds, which is quite an achievement for both the car as well as RENNtech & ADV.1 (the two companies that teamed up in order to customize the car).

The Merc blasted through the speed trap at 128.46 mph, which for some people means 206 km/h. Though it’s unclear how much power it has, we do know that it comes with RENNtech’s ECU upgrade, custom downpipes and sports cats. The software itself is said to still be under development, but you can buy the ECU upgrade for $3,485 (without taxes).

However, just because this thing can hit that 1/4 mile marker in under 11 seconds, doesn’t mean that it’s cooking something serious underneath that bonnet. In fact, the stock version will cover a 1/4 mile in a little over 11 seconds, so it’s not like it’s faster by a whole second or anything. Still, that doesn’t change the fact that RENNtech turned the AMG GT S into a “10 second” car, which is pretty big in drag racing circles.

As for the sound, it’s brutal and metallic – basically everything we could ever ask for.
