Launched in 2011, the current generation Audi A6 is not the newest offering in its segment, but it’s still going strong, especially after the makeover it received late last year.

Consumer Reports’ Tom Mutchler drove Audi’s premium executive sedan and found it is still a very competent proposition. It has a well-built, plush and roomy interior, a very quiet cabin and it delivers a comfortable ride.

But the 2016 Audi A6 can handle sporty driving as well, with the reviewer praising its crisp steering and maneuverability. For the 2016 model year, the Audi A6 gets revised engines, including a new 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.

The car Mutchler drove was equipped with the new 252hp engine, a unit described as refined and powerful enough for the big sedan. Scroll down to find out what else he had to say about the car.
